Portable XM units? Recommendations?

I have a 2005 TL with XM built-in (of course)..but my wife loves it so much, she wants it installed in her Honda Pilot. No built-in XM in the 2004's, so I need to buy a portable unit that will install in her car, but can also be portable to go inside the house. It's just a few extra bucks per month to add this service to my existing account, right? Just need to buy the unit, then the home/car adapters. Any recommendations on which portable unit is the best to buy?
Delphi SkyFi2? Roady2? Any others?

Thanks!!

I have a portable Sirius unit in one of my other cars. I have the Starmate which is similar to the Roady2. I got this one because it's the smallest unit and you don't need to deal with a cradle which adds more space. I was able to just squeeze this into a like area in the car and secure with some velcro.

If I was to replace my Sirius unit it would be with a Roady2. I know it's not the best looking for has the most features, but size was the most important thing to me.

Thanks HiTec....Roady2 is an option, but I also looked at the Roady XT also made by Delphi, and it is as small as the Roady 2 and looks good. I still need to compare the features though. They're selling for only $49 after a $30 mail-in rebate...plus $49 for the kit to hook it up at the house, so seems like a good deal.

Anyone else out there connect XM into the house or another vehicle?

I like the Roady XT, but it requires a cradle which when plugged into the craddle in the car greatly increases the overall size. I would imagine the next Roady will be even smaller whenever it comes out, if ever.

Gr8Cruiser, you may want to ask the same question on the XM fan forum at http://www.xmfan.com, where you will find no shortage of opinions!

I was just at Costco and they had the RoadyXT. I've never seen it in person, but the cradle was actually pretty small. I guess it all depends on where you are going to mount it if you can deal with the cradle or need to go cradleless

THe SkyFi2 is a pretty nice unit. You'll need the tuner, car kit, home kit, and a wired fm modulator for good sound. A mount for that particular car can be found here
XM says $5.95 a month extra for an additional radio but you have to pay it up front, so it's $94 for a year w/activation fee ($9.95). Good luck!

My wife's car has the Roady 2- it's hard wired to the back of the car stereo with a special $29 adapter. At Best Buy (electronics store in NJ and I'm sure elsewhere), they are on special these days for $29. I paid ~$89 new last year. I guess XM knows they get you with the service plan so they can afford to get you radios cheaply.

Thanks for this link...it helped a lot. Tons of good posts on that board for XM.

And thanks everyone else that responded....I appreciate the advice. Probably gonna get the RoadyXT....really small...easy to switch between car & home....future boombox being released....seems like it will do the trick.
