I want to improve the audio system in my TL. I listen mostly to classical music.
The stock audio system while it has its good points is not very well balanced when it comes to midrange and high frequencies.

Has anyone done an audio system upgrade with these qualities in mind. I have nothing against upgrading the bass system as well, but this is not my priority.

Well, I feel the stock stereo has a really good range!! But if you want more mid's, and high's you would need to replace the factory amp, and factory speakers! The only complaint I have with the factory system, is it does'nt have enough SPL(volume)!! But for some it does! I just want to be able to roll my windows down on the freeway at 75 MPH and still here the music fine! I havent researched it out yet, but I think if you replace factory amp, it might effect the hands free link! It might not, but that is a good thing to find out!

 

my system was designed for Jazz/ alt rock but it plays classical and rap with the best of them..

I just bought 2 pairs of infinity kappa 60.7 6 ½ , a box with 2 MTX 7 series 12” and 1000 w , 400w but I’m afraid to put it on my TL because of the Navi and blue T. anybody have done something like this?

 

There are a lot of threads in this forum regarding Audio System upgrades. DeathToToasters did a great DIY with pics for his audio install. Do a search. You should come up with some pretty good info.
