Pics of console/dash disassembly to install USASpec?

I've found lots of threads on the USASpec iPod interface, but I can't seem to find any threads that include pics and procedures for disassembling/reassembling the console/dash to access the back of the radio and run the cables. Can anyone please point me to those threads if they exist around here, or external to this site?

Thanks!

I think this should help, but all you have to do is flip the intructions and do it on the passenger side

Hope it helps!!!

usaspec

Is there an easy way to take the radio out so install the usaspec interface. Are there instruction or pictures on how to do it? I want to install the Ipod interface over the weekend but I not sure where to begin. Could some one help me? I would really appreciate it....

^+1 There must be a guide around here somewhere for removing the head unit.

I wish the search function worked a bit better.

Same here. I got the silver trim and console removed by following the instructions here https://acurazine.com/forums/showthread.php?t=130713 but can not figure out how to remove the plastic side panels. Do you have to remove the glove box in order to remove passenger side plastic panel?

Thanks.

You only need to remove the driver's side kick panel. You will be able to access the harness plug behind the head unit without removing the passenger side kick panel and glove box.

Does anyone know where I can get the USASPEC Ipod Interface for TL 04? I have been searching local stores but I can't seem to be able to locate one. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Look under: Q: Where can I buy these aftermarket audio interfaces? What online stores would you recommend?

Thank you! I was finally able to get mine installed without any bruises and cuts. Removing the original plug was easy, but it took a while to line up the new plug before you can push it in.

On the front/rear of the PA11HON2Y there's that thing that you can adjust from 0-9, does anyone know what it is for? I thought it is for adjusting the sound level so I tried changing it from 4 which is the default setting to, but it did not sound any louder.

ipod cable

I just recieved the PA11-HON2y interface. The CAS-HY2 cable wasn't attached, I have satelite radio. Do I need to get the CAS-HY2 cable or can I just attach regular audio and video input wirem from the satelite radio to the interface? Or maybe just don't hook up the satelite radio because I disconnected my service for awhile now?

If you have some patience and dexterity you can insert the plug by pulling down the carpet just right of the gas peddle, fold it in and get your head down by the peddle with a flash light, you will be able to see the plug about 6 inches up and to the left, a flat screw driver to guide it and 5 or 10 minutes and you should have it it (the clip on the top side by the way as it isn't obvious). a bit of luck too but no panel removal.
