Paring the phone AFTER driving off.
As you know, you cannot pair the phone after putting the car in drive and driving off. The manual back this up. I have been looking for a way to pair the phone after driving for a while. This is what works, and I did it twice just to check.
After NOT initially paring your phone on car startup, and driving off, hit your phone button and say 'next phone', the car will say 'no other phones', hit the phone button again and say 'help'. After the car tells you all the help info, hit the phone button and say 'next phone'. This time the car will find your phone and ask you to pair it. I did this at 70mph on the highway and it worked twice.

Hmmmm....this is interesting.
One thing I'd love to figure out- how to turn OFF my BT when connected to HFL. I have to stop the damned car and walk away before I can turn OFF my BT...otherwise, it says BT busy on my SE T637.

Yeah, me too. Even if my car is off, the bluetooth stays paired. Why is that? I asked my dealer about it and he said "I think that's a rather cool feature", but it's completely useless! The car is off, so you won't be able to use your phone until you walk far enough away from the car.
I have had several times where I was still on a call, but had the HFL stay on after turning off the car. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe that you lose all control over the HFL after turning the car off, even when still on a call. Steering wheels buttons and volume are lost, but you can at least stay on the call until you transfer (through your phone)! When leaving the car, I just tell the person to hold on a second, and when I walk far enough away for the BT to disconnect, I get an option to retrieve the call from my phone.

What you need to do is go to your phone, select Connect from the main menu --> Bluetooth --> My Devices --> HandsFreeLink TM (or the new name if you renamed it) --> Disconnect. After disconnecting, go back 2 steps to Bluetooth menu, and you can turn it off.
It works for me. Hope it does too for you.

this is kinda off-topic....but my friend came to pick me up with my car because i lent it to him and i was standing outside of work and i had no idea where he was so im sitting there with my phone in my hand and 10 seconds before he drives up the phone says bluetooth enabled...it was wild it was just something that struck me as funny because the range of the bluetooth is great...
