I see you've got a Type S. Any chance you could set it up, and let me know how it works, and if the Phonebook Import works on Navi?
This is the only thing keeping me from getting one..

Seems Acura is very slow at testing the newer phones.. I dont want to wait for them!

nalek,

I can tell you that I have a 2006 TL and it pairs but it will only work correctly for 1 to 5 calls and then the audio will not transfer to the car. It shows connected and all the controls in the vehicle work but the audio remains on the phone.

It really sucks when you have an incoming call and you dint know if you can answer in the car or on your phone. If you havent bought the Pre, I would wait.

Ironically enough, I am on hold with a "Palm Specialist" now!!!

Palm has never had a good track record with Bluetooth handsfree.

I also have the Pre and while lack of Voice dial over bluetooth etc it seems to pair well wirh my handsfree kit in a different car.

I doubt it will export any contacts etc as it really is pretty much a Beta device with a brand new OS.

Thanks for the help guys. I found that it seems to work pretty well at:
http://www.everythingpre.com/forum/p...-up-19446.html

I guess there is an issue with the "HANG UP" button, but that should be fixed soon. I also found somewhere that said it imports the phonebook just fine.

Mine is waiting for me at home on my doorstep!

Nalek - How would you say it have been working since you got it? I just got a 2007 TL Type-S but haven't tried it yet.

I just paired my Pre with my 07 Type-S. Everything works great for me. I imported my address book to navigation but it said file size was too big. Not sure what information didn't make it.

Question - Why don't my addresses show up in the navigation phone book?

Incompatible file formats would be the most likely reason.

The Pre works just fine in my 08 Type S. The phone book also imported easily and I have zero issues.

I was really happy to finally get my garage door opener programmed to the Homelink in my 06 TL. I'd really like to get my Palm Pre (running WebOS 1.4.5). from reading all of the posts, there are some who seemed to have gotten their phone runnning, but I'm not even getting as far in the pairing process as others.

for me the process stalls out after i state the access code to the car. the car can't discover the phone. what really helped with the homelink was instructions that were a lot better and more specific than what's in the acura owners manual. Is there anytrhing that works better than the instructions in manual or somewhere where I can get some help?

thanks

Did you ever get your phone to work?

I would make sure you delete all the phones the system has saved.. I think there is a command to "List Phones". Delete each one of them. It goes over that in detail in the manual I believe.

I would then Reboot the phone, just incase it resets something BT wise.

After that, try to re-pair the phone, it should work..
If it doesnt, I would call Handsfreelink for help. My pre runs and pairs with 1.4.5 just fine.

Im on sprint, so maybe VZ or ATT has some of the bluetooth locked down if you have a different carrier? Who knows..

Good luck
