Non nav to navi aftermarket

Hello guys. a lot of people on the thread has gone from a non navi to a oem stock nav, or has gone with the carputer.

Has anyone ever tried to figure out a way to get an aftermarket nav in there? I remember seeing a few threads on here a few months back, but seems to have disappeared.

So how bout it guys?

I have been eyeing the AVIC-F500BT from Pioneeer to replace my carPC. It has a 5.8 screen and is 7 1/4 wide x 3 7/8 tall x 1 1/8 thick. You can keep your stock radio and replace the LCD screen with this. It would take some fabrication but it can be molded into the the stock non-navi location and move the LCDs down below the radio.
