New Sticky Idea: DualDiscs

I think a great idea for a sticky is a list of Dualdiscs that people have, and weather they will work in the TL. With all the DVD-A titles moving to the DualDisc format, and the DVD-A's dissapearing, it seems the DualDisc will be our format of choice. Also, so many online retailers don't describe what is on the DVD side of the DD very well. I'll start on ones I know for sure:

NIN- Downward Spiral CD/DVD-A Works
Gary Numan- Anthology CD/DVD-A Works

Include the fact that many online vendors don't list the flip-side format of Dual Discs. It's frustrating when you can't find out what discs will work in the TL.

Rick, we all know the DualDiscs from Sony and Co. don't work. The following ones work in our car.

Diana Krall - "Girl In The Other Room"
Simple Plan - "Still Not Getting Any..."

The problem with knowing Sony's don't work, is a lot of the online retailors don't list labels, and Sony has so many sub lables, it's hard to know for sure. So even a list of ones that don't work, will help as well, so please include both if you know!

We should include working and non-working DVDA and a few details about the disk, eg is the DVDA a 5.1, and are DTS/PCM tracks present, and a mini review so we can blend the favorite DVD threads. This will allow anyone looking for their favorite DVDA to see if it works in the TL as a DVDA.

Works in TL - Band - Album - Formats on disk / Comment

Works in TL - Blue Man Group - The Complex - 5.1-DVDA, 5.1-DTS, PCM-2ch. CD-NO

Not a dual disk, plays in TL or normal DVD players, not in a CD. If you've listened to the TL ELS demo disk you will no doubt recognize this band since one of the demo tracks is off this album. This is a very dynamic surround sound experience. (4.5/5).

This was discussed on a previous thread during it's release. The Boss' "Devils and Dust" (Columbia) is DVD-V and will not play in our TL, however plays great on my home theater. Some will show the DVD-Audio logo (Rob Thomas' "...Something To Be") and some will say DVD-A (NIN's "Downward Spiral). Simple Plans "Still Not Getting Any..." shows DVD-V but is in fact a DVD-A.

As mentioned previously, Sony has elected to use DVD-V on their DualDisc releases vs the hi-rez format of DVD-A. Sony's hi-rez format is SACD. FYI, the following labels are part of the Sony/BMG Music Entertainment group.
Arista Records
BMG Classics
BMG Heritage
BMG International Companies
Columbia Records
Epic Records
J Records
Jive Records
LaFace Records
Legacy Recordings
Provident Music Group
RCA Records
RCA Victor Group
RLG - Nashville
Sony Classical
Sony Music International
Sony Music Nashville
Sony Wonder
Sony Urban Music
So So Def Records
