Talking New Stereo Installed--07 TLS

Well my installers and I are finally done with this thing.

Originally I had installed the Alpine Imprint--PXE-H650--and what a PITA this thing is and if you dont know already, it HATES the TL factory audio system. Now I have the Rockford Fosgate 3Sixty.1 and it works great.

Here is a list of what is in the car:

Focal 165KF separates in the front doors
Focal 165CA1 in the rear deck
JL Audio 12W6V2 subwoofer
Rockford Fosgate 3Sixty.1
Alpine PDX 1.600
Alpine PDX 4.150
Kinetik Battery
Stinger Wiring and Dual battery isolator
A Ton of Dynamat
Blue LED's to light it all up
Its hard to see in the pics, but the panels are covered in Carbon Fiber Vinyl in Blue and Silver

I suck at the whole picture posting thing, but here goes:

Thanks. Sounds great! I have a little bit of engine noise, but I needed the car for the weekend and took it home with me. They are going to fix the noise next week, then it will be 100%.

Wow!

Looks really good. A couple of questions.

Is that a sealed or ported sub?

How's the ventilation on the amps to keep them cool? I have the PDX1.600 and the PDX4.100 and they get pretty warm when I push them hard

What didn't you like about the Alpine imprint processor? A comparison between the 3sixty?

Can you take some pixs with the panels off?

Thanks

Fulani has a TL,

Price is a sore point for me on this one. Lets just say it was a little over $2K for labor. They dynamated all four doors, the rear deck, the trunk lid and trunk floor, ran all new wiring so that I can put the factory stuff back in if I decide to get rid of the car, built the box and amp rack, wired the second battery, etc, etc, etc.

King of Pain,

Thanks.

The box is ported. There actually is no ventilation on the amps. I listen to my stereo at a rediculous level and they do get pretty hot, but they have never shut off. The place that did them said they have never had an issue with them shutting off, so I just let it go. We might put in a fan at a later time if I start to have issues.

Its not that I didnt like the Alpine, its that the Alpine didnt like my car. I think its all the ELS shit in the car changing everything all the time and the Alpine just got confused. They had my car for 3 days just screwing around with the Imprint---they were on the phone with Alpine and they couldnt figure it out either, so they put in another one and it did the same thing. I had almost no mids--great highs and sub, but nothing in between. The Alpine also would not let me control the volume from the radio, I had to use the Alpine remote and it was a PITA. The car sounded hollow. I have a friend with a 2007 Accord/Navi and the Imprint works like a champ in his car....its just the TL and the MDX that have issues.

The 3Sixty is night and day. Everything sounds like its supposed to and there is nothing missing anymore. The only issue I have now is a little bit of engine noise and they are going to fix that this week, then I will happy.

The shop took a crap load of pictures of the car all apart and will be sending them to me soon. As soon as I have them, I will be sure to post them up as well for you.

Looks good, but if it was me I would of matched the blue where the sub is with the blue of the car.
