My problem is that I lost my bass but everything else is working fine. There aren't any burnt fuses on my amp or on the car. Please Help.

OK so I have a Fosgate 360.1, 1 Fosgate farad, Kicker ZX700.5 / 5ch amp with an Alpine type S 12" sub and Infinity highs and mids. I wired the 360.1 to the output of the factory amp using 16 ga Kicker - K series wire (All wires were sodered then hit with shrink tubing). Then they go into the high input of the 360. From then everything goes to the amp via Stinger silver something RCA's. I have 4 ga wire for power and ground (less then 4 ft long).

Is the am getting suffecent power? I would check the ground first. then i plug something like an ipod directly into the sub amp to see if it works. if the amp is working then it has to be something with the 3sixty.I have had occasions where the amp worked for a while and then quit driving my subs beause the ground wasnt good enough. but i was fooled because the lights were on , on the amp itself.

Well I have a bad amp. The sub part isn't working. I'm gonna have to send it in to get it fixed and it's just over a year old like 1 month after the warrenty ended. Hope it isn't $$$$.

 

That sucks. Get an alpine pdx5 if you get a new amp. More power, half the size, and can easily be hidden in your trunk.

 

My amp was giving me 412 watts @ 2 ohms where the PDX5 gives only 300 watts @ 2 or 4 ohms. The Kicker amp had the most watts that I could find that was a 5 ch amp.
