Need help with aftermarket head unit installation!!

so i deiced to install a after market double din (Pioneer AVH-P4000).everything plays and works but no sound is coming out from the speakers... i think its because the head unit needs to send a signal to the stock amp ? can anyone confirm this? if this is correct, what is the colour of the wire?

thanks in advance!

did you hook up the speakers to the aftermarket HU? What is the wattage output on the HU you put in?

If you went straight to the speakers from the aftermarket HU, then it should play fine. Sounds like you have another problem. Check your radio manual for troubleshooting no sound issue.

all good now just had to splice into red/yellow which sends a signal to the stock amp allowing it to turn on!

thanks everyone!

did you get rid of the factory amp? If no, remove it. If yes, check your wiring.

you need to put in your signal after the factory amp since A. You need a remote to turn on the factory amp, and B. you are going to blow it up since the factory amp only accepts a very low voltage signal, like about 1 watt...

whats the point of using the factory amp if you bought a aftermarket head unit which has its own amplifier anyways.
