Need bluetooth security code

So i purchased a 2005 acura tl (antracite metallic)(beautiful car btw) it looks like the previous owner has set a 4 digit code to pair his phone. but since i purchased it from a dealer he has no clue what the 4 digit bluetooth code is. how would i be able to erase the previous owners code and put in a new one?
i cant use the hands free link without this code. i have an iphone 4. is my compatible with this car?

read the manual. There's a way to clear all settings and phones from HFL.

Once done, you'll also need to come up with a random 4 digit code to sync your phone with. The code will be inputted into the phone to complete the pairing.

He's talking about the code you need to enter before you can even get to the settings to pair the phone to the HFL. You can turn it on or off only if you know the code once it's been enabled.

Same thing happened to me when i first bought my car. Try using common numbers like 0000, 1234, it ended up working for me.

I think you can actually go to the prompts and from there clear all of the information. I think the prompts are setup. Then clear. After that you should be able to setup your own code.

Much nicer buy. Congrats and welcome to AZ. Register her at www.myacura.com. Save your navi and radio codes there for safe keeping.
