Navigation screen login
Over the past week, my navigation screen has required me to enter the security code on a couple of occasions - as if the battery had been disconnected or died. Except the battery is fine, and there are no other signs of a power interruption (the radio hasn't needed the code re-entered, for instance). Wondering if anyone has any ideas what could be causing this?
It's entirely possible that the unit is just dying - I bought the car last September and were able to obtain the past couple of years of service records; we know that the unit had some major problems (distortion, rear-view camera randomly turning itself on) and that the previous owner's dealer sent it away for repair. And the picture quality (especially at night) seems to have deteriorated over the past couple of months. But wanted to see whether anyone here might have some idea of other possible causes, before I go out and buy a refurbished unit.
2007 TL Type S, BTW.
Thanks!
