Navigation screen froze while I was trying to exit out of options. I could not click on the screen or any of the buttons underneath. The only one it would let me hit was audio because that is a seperate system. I ended up having to pull over and shut the car off and restart it. After restart it worked fine. Anyone ever experience this???

 

i have never had the screen freeze. I have had the HFL not end after I ended a call. Had to pull over and restart the car for it to release. On the navigation side, i have had it restart on me like 3 times in the last couple of weeks. I will be driving down the road and look over and i get the blue navigation screen, press ok and it will work.

 

Actually come to think of it I have had a few issues with the HFL too. I called somebody using the HFL and the sound was still coming through the phone and not the speakers . Also, the speakers crackle and sound like crap with the HFL.

 

i have had that happen a few times as well. Once i cut the phone off and back on, it seemed to re-pair with the car and worked. I am almost due for an oil change so i will put my navi problem on the list.

Mine just started doing some goofy shit too. I turn on the car and it just stays on the Acura Navigation screen and after a 10 seconds or so it blinks and goes back to the same thing all over again. A few seconds after it blinks the radio mutes for a moment and then back to music.

wow, never heard of that. Sounds like a good warranty job....

 

I have had this happen in my TL, and my old mdx. Restarting the car fixed it temporarily. But I took out the disk, cleaned it and also disconnected the battery for 30 minutes so the software could reload into the system properly. After this, it's been clear sailing.

 

With 90+ K warranty is gone... I've tried disconnecting the batt for several hours and no luck. The Nav disc looks clean and I keep hearing a clicking sound at the DVD drive in the trunk so I'm thinking my DVD drive may have taken a dump..

 

call alpine and talk to them. I think its about 150 dollars to get it fixed from them.

 

$150 is what the TSB said too. Calling /////ALPINE in the morning..
