navigation in NYC

I went in to the city last night and My navigation got me into the city fine and let me find my destination fine. On my way out it could not find the tunnel. It did not recognize one way streets and it was basically useless. I started to get reall pissed because I was with this girl and my 30,000 dollar car was all f_ cked up. Has any one else had this problem in a city area. OH yeah and by the way, On the way out I almost ran over Jim Bellusci from "According to JIM" I couldnt believe it. He just walked right in front of my car and i just started yelling his name and he waved.

Funny you mention that. I was just in NYC over the weekend and used the navi extensively. It correctly showed me the way to the Lincoln Tunnel from NJ (though I ofund a short cut on my own ), then to my hotel in Midtown. It correctly showed me the directions from the hotel back to the Lincoln Tunnel--no problems. However, it put me on the Triborough bridge when I was actually trying to get to FDR Drive. I think part of it, though, was that the voice of the navi kept telling me "take the second right", a totally inappropriate expression when considering NYC blocks.

Had no problems getting into and out of NYC. Lincoln Tunnel in and out and it never tried to send me the wrong way down a one-way street.
