Navigation Issues Just my lucck !!!

Navigation Issues Just my lucck !!!

I drove my car home last night, from the liquor store came home had a good nights rest and in the morning I started my car and all I could see on the screen was a bunch of lines, no navigation start up screen no nag screen nothing just colorful lines !!!!
Please help it would be greatly appreciated

1) Pop out the navi DVD from the trunk-mounted drive and make sure it is clean, then reinsert and see if Navi starts up OK.
2) If the Navi still doesn't work, see the dealership if you are still under warranty.

Thanks, no warranty, and tried to pop it out and put it back still no luck
the screen just shows vertical lines of many colors and nothing else???
Anyone??

Vertical lines.....no image checked all the connections in the trunk ejected the disc and reinserted nothing!!..........any help would be greatly appreciated

disconnect the battery and wait for 30 minutes. Before you do this, make sure you have the security codes for the radio and navi.

I will try that, but out of curiosity what could the problem be making that the solution
Thanks for the input though I appreciate it will try
any other suggestions would be great aswell

No luck with the battery disconnect, not sure what it could be, ?????????
