Navigation DVD Question

I'm not asking this from a moral standpoint, but more of a hypothetical standpoint. When the new DVD comes out for the TL is it possible to use a program such as DVD Decrypter to decrypt the new DVD from a dealer and then burn it onto either a single layer or dual layer disc depending on the size of the rip? Has anyone tried this as a backup? Thanks

Just guessing, but I'm pretty sure DVD Decrypter only decrypts DVD movies and the NAVI DVD is not a movie. DVD decrypter would probably give you a message that the NAVI DVD is blank or is not the right format.

Nice try though.

I am sure some software can do it. What about copying it all to a folder, and then reburning it? I know it can be copied and burned as I have a different background.

I understand people have tried and the DVD reader will not read DVD DL disks which is what is needed to copy the entire NAV DVD
