Black RAZR + TL People

I'm going to be switching from Verizon to TMobile and I can get any phone. I was thinking of getting a Black RAZR to replace my V710 with Verizon. My main question is if you dial out on the phone do you have to transfer it to the TL or will it automatically do it like an incoming call? My V710 I have to transfer which is a pain. The S710a from SE is ok, but its bulky. The Samsung D500 is nice but lack of all service bands is making me weary. Looks like Motorola it is again. Just looking for feedback on how everyone likes it. Thanks!

Jeff

Well I'm with T-Mobile and know they don't carry the Black RAZR - this is a Cingular exclusive right now. T-Mobile only carries the silver-tone RAZR. You can however purchase a Black RAZR but will have to pay the premium price and need it unlocked to use on T-Mobile.

As for transfer, yes, I currently have a 7100t Blackberry and if I'm currently on the mobile and get into my TL, I have to transfer but it's just a simple voice command in the TL to transfer to HandsFreeLink. Also I don't think the RAZR show the available battery life function (there's a sticky in this forum that covers this info).

I've got a Razr and it works just fine with my TL. The only thing I don't like is the lack of battery level on the MID. It's OK otherwise since I usually keep it plugged into the power outlet when I'm in the TL the battery level meter is no big deal. The phone is awesome...best cellphone I've ever owned. It blows SE away!!

I know its for Cingular but its not a big deal. The place I go to sells everything unlocked so GSM is GSM. As for not switching I need to, Verizon has good service of course but the minutes are low and the g/f is on TMobile so I need the mobile to mobile minutes.

JetJock, when you dial out does the HFL system pick it up or do you have to say "Transfer" to put it into the car? I hate doing that with my current V710.

if you use the phones keypad to dial, you will not hear it ring and it will take a sec. to hear the person on the other end. once they pick up you will have to tell the HFP to transfer the call. what i do is i cell from the phne then hangup and tell the car to redial.

That sucks. So basically you have to do the transfer thing.
