Navi Screen...how long does it take?
#2
From my casual observations, it seems to be about close to 15 seconds. Too long in my opinion.. This bugs me more than the nag screen itself.. The fact that I have to wait that long is silly..

Actually, it's 30 Seconds until the "ok" comes on from when you to turn the key to the alt position. And it's about 25 seconds if you actually turn the car on.
In my opinion, this is waaayyyyy toooo long!

Maybe someone can find a hack that at least reduces the amount of time elapsed before the OK button becomes available.. If we can't remove the nag, at least we can hopefully get rid of it faster...

I think it's loading stuff from the DVD during that time. I don't think there is a way that you can reduce the time. It's dependent on the hardware. I think somewhere in the hacking the navi thread is something about what it's doing during this time and why the guy who wrote the program had problems getting rid of the nag screen.

I also changed Navigation setting to US because Canadian screen shows "francias" on top of "OK" in lawyer screen, which I never use.
There seems to be no difference in time between the two - it's constant around 20 seconds.
