Navi locked out, radio working after code

Bought my 04 a couple years ago. Didn't have the navi code and never had the dealer reset. Dumb on my part.

Just had some repairs done and they disconnected the battery for reasons I don't even know.

Anyway, turn on the car and the radio and navi won't work. Want a code. I tried many and locked myself out.

Searched this forum and found out about the card with the five digit radio code that came with the car. Was able to use this to unlock the radio by pulling the fuse for a minute and then entering the code after next power on.

But the navi doesn't even give me a chance to enter the code. Wouldn't matter much if it did since I don't have a code to enter for navi, but it doesn't even ask anymore. When I start the car, the screen displays the splashscreen that says Navigation or whatever. But then it just turns off. I can press any of the navi buttons and the screen doesn't turn on. Just stays black.

Is there another fuse that needs to be pulled for navi to be reset so I can at least enter a code again?

Here is a picture of my fuse panel. I don't know what LAF is but it's right next to the radio fuse I pulled.

Appreciate any advice!

Fuse #7.

You can get your navi code by giving your navi serial # to any acura dealer. See this thread, post #4 for accessing your navi serail#:

Thank you, that will help me get the serial number, but I need to know how to get it to even turn on so that I can enter the code that the dealer gives me.

I tried pushing the buttons to get into diag mode, but the navigation unit is completely off. I think it needs reset just like the radio did by pulling the fuse, but I don't know which fuse to pull. Would have thought it was the same one, but I guess not.

Called acura dealer who fortunately had my navi code on file.

The way they told me to reset Navi so it would be unlocked and I could enter the code is to pull the battery for 25-30 minutes to let the caps drain completely. Worked perfectly.

Thanks nfnsquared!

You're welcome! Fuse #7 would have done the same thing and not affect anything else, no need to disconnect the battery. Not sure why they would have told you to do that, but hey, it's fixed!
