Navi help
i have an 04 tl base model i was wondering if i get a dash bored from an 05 tl with a navi and bring everything over to my 04 tl will it work or does more work need to be done other than just switch the dash bored

well ill have the dash and the navi from a totaled 05 tl shouldn't everything i need to make it work in my 04 base be in the 05 tl already just moving everything over or is it more to that?

I'm assuming you have a non-navi TL?
If that's the case, you need the DVD unit out of the trunk and the antenna under the rear deck along with a bunch of wiring going from that unit to the front display.
It has connections going to CAN-BUS, head unit, HFL, the reverse lockout under the passenger seat and the extra buttons on the right side of the steering wheel along with switched and constant power.

i at first i did but it much work just go for the dash because i need the air bags inside i got into an accident yesterday lol

well i crashed my car and the air bags deployed so we are buying a salvaged car for the parts because this is the cheapest way. if we were to involve insurance they would probably just total it. So the salvaged car happens to have a navi and want to switch that over as well but it seems to much work so now i guess ill just take the dashboard for the air bag lol but yes you did help thanks

If you have the salvaged car, I would do it. There is a lot of wiring but you've got it all there. That is the best scenario.
It does take a lot of research but most of the wiring you need is in the passenger side sills and behind the dash. You're going to be ripping out the dash anyway so it's all going to be exposed.
