What's up fellas.
Need some questions answered. Santa is bringen me a nav2go. I read several DIY threads and random threads here and there.
I read to use a composite A/V cable to run video from an iPod. Question is no one says exactly how they are getting audio with that cable? How would that hook up to the aux. Jack!
My other ? Is can someone help me out with getting power out of the trunk for the unit instead of snaking power wire to the front? I figured someone would have an answer to where to steal power from since there already is a couple units in the trunk running 12v. Can I steal it off the nav harness? Or the isimple harness?
Oh I already have the isimple installed also.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Planning on doing tvs in the headrests shortly also. Any suggestions on modules available to make that easier I would also like to know about.
Thanks in advance or the knowledge about to be dropped on me!

Since you have a type s, there is an aux jack in your arm rest, so you have to go to radio shack to get the proper plugs to go from the RCAs that the iPod cable has and convert it to 1/8" jack. Im guessing you need 2 RCA couplers, and a "1/8" to rca" cable.

Just get the Isimple for you ipod and you have a conection so when you want to control your ipod thru the factory radio and when you want to use the ipod for video just connect your a/v composite cable thru the Nav2go and send the audio thru the Isimple and just hit the xm button .......thats the way i have it in the car and i think its much easier....
