Nav zoom button stuck - can't use nav/screen

I'm traveling and my zoom button got stuck in the zoom out stage. Now I'm not able to use the screen as it just goes to the map and zooms out all the way. I removed the button but it's a problem with the little knob behind the button. I can't pry it out or unjam it. Any suggestions?? It's an 05.

Thanks!

I still haven't been able to get it unstuck, however I found a temporary Nav work around using the voice commands.

I am still not able to see my audio screen at all as it is stuck on Map mode and I can't change. Anyone know if there is a voice command to change from map mode to view the audio screen?

Okay, my last try for help.

Before taking it to the dealer, I'd like to give it one last shot. What's the easiest way to remove the button panel on the nav unit? I think if I can remove the panels, I could get behind there and replace the spring or internal button.

Thanks!

You need to remove the two metal strips that line the center stack/arm rest
Remove all of your stuff from the center console/cubby
Unbolt two bolts at the bottom of the arm rest
Remove all related bolts/screws up and down the console
Remove the hvac/vent unit above the nav [pulls off]
You should be able to unbolt the nav/radio unit and pull it out.. make sure you dont scratch the crap out of it on your shifter [which probably has to come off as well.. I have a manual]

You may also need to remove the cup holders to get enough room to move the two cubbys out of the way so the radio can come out

Then you shoud be able to take the button assy. apart and try to fix it

Thanks for posting! Seems pretty complex. I wonder if there is an easier way to access behind the buttons without pulling everything out...but probably not.

I don't think so; I need to get in there and change my bulbs to LEDs but it's a bit of a process
