So i have my nav set on auto so that when its night it dims by itself but lately it stoped working and just stays on like its day time..... i didnt mess with any settings so im assuming whatever controls it is broken....

does anyone know what i need to fix/replace or if theres an easy fix to this?

 

hit the max light button.
It will toggle between night and day settings.

 

hmmm ill try that out... ive tried playing with the brightness setting before tho.

 

Unless its different in the 07s vs. 06s, the screen isn't controlled with a light sensor. It'a based on the interior lights, like j1n said. Typically, it goes dark when you turn your exterior lights on.
