Multiple electronic issues

does this sound familiar to anyone??

stock 2006 navi TL -
Over the last 6 months a series of electronic failures and problems and I am wondering if they cna be tied together or not before I go to the dealership to get it worked on :

6 months ago HFL stopped working
3 months ago - GPS started intermittent failing
2 months ago - AC thermostat stopped regulating temps - I got all heat or all cool - nothing in between
unknown - voice commands stopped working - never really use them but ...
1 month ago VSA light came on - not sure if it works or not as car hasnt had any traction issues
1 month ago- all of the steering wheel button lights went off
2 weeks ago - GPS unit fails completely - cant get to even the input or startup navi screen
yesterday - GPS display has new message "please check your disc" in plain text - with green box - GPS DVD player wont open and appears to be dead, and radio main display wont show anything other than error message

I've checked the fuses and battery voltage - probably going to replace battery no matter what because this car eats batteries every few years it seems and its time

Any ideas? in fear of what this all might cost unless there is a simple tied together solution?? thanks in advance

Don't go to the dealer for the Navi or HFL- you can replace the HFL for ~$180 in 10 minutes by yourself (somewhat common issue) and the Nav disc reader tends to fail. This can be repaired by Alpine for a bit ($300 or so) and the dealer I'm sure would charge quite a bit more for the repair.

Check the battery, battery cables and alternator-- voltage fluctuations play heck with the TL's electronic systems.

G/L.

Check the grounding points in the kick panels and make sure they are tight.

Diamond Joe - front or rear door kick panels? My Chilton's repair manual doesnt mention grounding points anywhere (hate it)
