I know that you need to use a modulater to get the sound, but do you get 5.1 when you watch a dvd? Also, does anyone know, when the blitzsafe adaptor comes out will it be capable of 5.1....???? I am pricing out the Myron & Davis replacement Headrests. Does anyone have these for the 2004 TL with ebony interior. I called them today and said they have it for the 04, but I want to know how they look. I saw that Qauter had some indtalled, but I was unsure if they were Myron & Davis replacements..

 

Have you seen a TL with Myron & Davis Head rest Monitors? I have been thinking about getting some.

 

I bought my black tl with black interior about 3 months ago. It is an 04 with M&D. They are the best i have ever seen, that came from close friend who installed for 3 years. Great picture quality, cleanest install around. The leather color, thickness, texture, and stitching seem identical. Furthermore, the screens themselves are very nice looking. Just like on the website! Favorite feature include wireless IR headphones option(incase driver wants to listen to radio while viewers listen over headphones). First owner did awsome job at DVD player install. Sound is not in 5.1 due to signal sent via FM signal. Tune radio to stereo channel and you get stereo sound. Let me know if you want pics.

 

No, an FM modulator will not get you 5.1.

From what I have read, no one as of yet has successfully tapped into the head unit and/or amp to create an actual 5.1 channel input etc..

Can't help you with the M & D headrests.

Can you please attach a picture of the headrests. I am concerned that they will not match dur to the notch for the headrest on the top of the seat. Does the Myron & Davis headrest fit into that notch?
