Marine amp in my car?

Can I use a marine amp in a car. To be more specific it's a jl audio MHD900/5. There's two versions of this amp. One is marine and the other is not. So if there's anyone who can help let me know.

yes you can but why? The non marine version is (should be) about $100 cheaper. Only difference on marine is white and gray cosmetic (vs. silver/black) and treated and coated PCBs which is utterly useless in the car.

A friend of mine bought it by mistake and the company does not want to return his money. So he's selling me the amp for $400

Shouldn't be anything wrong with using the marine amp... Not the same, but I put my car amp in the boat last year and its holding up well so far, but we'll see how long it lasts in the marine environment...

Btw I had a jetboat before and had a nice setup but the amp was left in the boat over the winter and got super corroded. It wasn't a marine amp though lol
