Making an '08 radio work in an '06

Looking to replace my stock radio with same. Found a local TL owner with an 07-08 radio. Was told I would have to make a custom harness.. anyone have any experience with making this work in an 06?

You can get a new OEM radio in the Acura wrapping for $300 that's a bolt in. It's probably cheaper than trying to use a later radio by the time you get done with the harness and the other crap that goes along with it. Plus the time it's going to take to integrate it.

Curious- Whats up with your old radio? I have an 06 also and my am/fm is dead. No sound. CD/XM/TAPE all work. I have been looking on ebay and there are several from 115.00-190.00.

If I switch to the cd player the radio turns off and wont come back on unless I turn car off and then back on. Has to be on radio or xm to work. On top of that I am gettting some kind of feedback in the stereo, constant feedback (buzz) noise in background. Its been that way since I purchased from original owner. Would like to go aftermarket but dont think there is anything out there that will look good due to the knob notch's in the din location.. so sticking to stock it looks like.

Sounds like your amp might be struggling as well! My CD player stopped working awhile ago, and there is someone sorta local to me that will fix it for ~$100. I had my stock amp repaired by "Carstereohelp.com", for $125. Works great now. They also fix TL headunit's but it's kinda pricey.

Google is my friend, disregard amp question.

Looks like the factory radio and amp repair going to be pricey
