LCD seems darker/drimmer/less bright...covered?

Hello,
My '06 navi seems to be a lot darker/more dim than it used to be. This is especially noticeable when on night mode and things seem hard to read now. Maybe it's in my head...but I doubt it.

I am still under the full warranty so is this covered? How would the dealer know if is duller...is it a judgement call? To replace would they just replace the screen?

Any ideas/answers/suggestions would be helpful.

Thanks!

No the battery seems fine, everything else seems normal, the screen just seems a lot darker. At first I thought it was in my head but then the other night when it was pitch dark and I started the car I could barely even see the initial default acura splash image.

Do you park outdoors and, if so, has it been cold where you live? The LCD will take noticeably longer to come up to full brightness if it's very cold.

Also, if you turn on your headlights in the second or so before the splash screen comes up, the splash screen will be a lot dimmer.

I do park outside and it is cold, but even after having the car for 15-20 min it is still noticeably dimmer than what I remember. At least I don't remember it being an issue before which is what is raising my suspicion.
