Jabra Bluetooth Adaptor

Has anyone attempted to use the Jabra Bluetooth Adaptor on their non-BT phone?
http://www.jabra.com/JabraCMS/NA/EN/...A210/JabraA210

I asked Best Buy if this would work with HFL, and they said yes, but it didn't sound like they really knew what they were talking about. Anyone have any experience or insight into this?

I don't think it's compatible with HFL.

You're correct, just wanna make a sale and they probably don't know what HFL is.

It doesnt work. I have one - I tried it the day I bought the car. Reason being, when you try to pair, the HFL makes you setup a password... (4 digit)...and there is no way to enter that password into the jabra...

if we could figure out what code it was using to communicate with the headset, sure its possible... but i still think there would be other complications

Default bt pairing code is four zeros (0000) about 90% of the time. Man, you should've waited and let me collect my money, I would've split it.

...I still say the odds are somewhat against you. You have a 35% chance to pairing.

Trust me, I don't think it will work - lol... but if it does - that would be somewhat interesting...

again though, with the jabra device - the headset has no way of entering numbers so it probably doenst have the full hands free profile needed in order to fully function... we can only hope though

Thanks

Yea definitely let us know if it works, I don't really care about the full HFL functionality, but just enough to talk through the system would be good enough. Keep us informed.

I tried this when I first got my TL as I already had the Jabra thing. It didn't work, even with the 0000 code. I was told this was because the HFL is looking for a "Handsfree Profile" but the BT200 adapter uses the "Headset Profile" and is, therefore, not seen by the HFL.
