Got the letter today of the 2013 Navi Update for $99

Wish we had this promo in Canada. I just checked and its still $180 for us. Never seen it any cheaper anywhere.

 

apparently i have the 07 navi lmao time for an update.

 

I wouldn't waste money on it unless you are living in big city such as Houston, Miami, fort Lauderdale etc where there are sub division poping up constantly. Map is the same as my 2010 DVD and I am glad I didn't pay a cent for the 2012 update DVD.

 

Would there be a noticeable difference going from 07 maps to 13' ?? Worth the $100?

 

I had a 07 DVD map in my 08 base model TL. I upgraded to this 2013 and I can say that it was worth the $100. A lot of more point of interests and icons appear on the map. When searching categories of places like stores, restaurants, gas stations and choosing "Sort by distance to travel" a lot more stores come up.

Previously it would tell me the nearest one is over 1,000 miles away...

I went from a 2007 to a 2013 disc. That's 6 years worth of new streets, neighborhoods, highways, roads, etc. All for $100 it's easily worth it. However going from a 2012 to 2013, or 2013 to 2014 for $99 isn't really worth it..

 

Is there a way to tell if a new development is added to this years update?

I recently bough in a new development, up until a few 2-3 month ago my streets did not even show up in google. I figure 2013 update wont have it but I was hoping their is a way to check.

 

I tried to search around to find out who/if someone supplies acura their maps, couldn't find anything. Im guessing if google just got it up 2 or 3 months ago, it's likely that acura is not going to have it, unless they get maps from them, then the chances are a little better.
