I got the iTrip as a gift and I have not had good results with it. I think that the number of negative reviews on it outweighs the positive.

You'll get better sound with the cassette, but then you'll have wires hanging about. The FM transmitters are cleaner, but they are a big hassle in city areas, because there just aren't any free frequencies. I used to have XM through an FM transmitter, and when I drove in LA, I switching frequencies every 5 minutes or so. But drives out in the country were pretty nice.

If you are out in the country, get one of the numerous FM transmitters that work with the iPod. If you're in a city area, get a cassette.

iTrip is bad...everytime u go under a telephone line it gets staticy....iTrip is made more for using around radios other than ur car...like if u were to go on a trip or some shit and stay in one place.....if u want a good FM Transmitter....get the iCarPlay or the BelkinTuner those are the top ones on the market unless you get a 200 dollar one which will work well too....

cessette adapter is cheaper, affords better sound quality and doesn't drain iPod battery

I the casette is anything like the ones that were used for CD palyers -->> not worth shi# !!! But maybe they improved them over the years.

On the other hand, the FM transmitter was always good.

This is absolutely the coolest FM transmitter for the iPod. It's a charger and transmitter all in one.
