Issues with Motorola Razr V3

okay, so the phone is linked and everything works pretty good. The only thing i realized is that the battery dies soooo much faster. I also noticed that when i don't use the bluetooth in the car but try and make a call out from the phone itself(but inside the car), it never goes through!

any suggestions?

Which V3 do you have? Motorola makes a few different versions of the V3. I have the V3c I believe. I use Alltel and everything works pretty good. Only issue I have is I have to tell the phone to transfer when dialing numbers.

The battery does die much faster when bluetooth is on. It is constantly trying to find something to connect to. I think that is a issue with most phones and not specific to the Razr.

I don't notice the battery issue. I am in outside sales and I drive a lot! Have you tried re-training the phone?

Bluetooth seems to deplete battery more quickly, but you can set up a shortcut on the phone to turn off Bluetooth when not in the car. Otherwise, you can just plug the phone into the TL's power when driving (which I do for drives over 20 minutes, or when my cell power is low).

Your cell is still hooked into the Bluetooth even if the car is turned off, so you have to either 1) "transfer" to your phone before turning the car off, 2) turn off the Bluetooth on the cell or 3) walk about 40 feet away from the car so the phone will unlink. My phone beeps when it unlinks from the TL's system-- usually 20-30 feet from the car!

Thumbs up Bluetooth

For $11.98, including shipping, go to Ebay, & buy an OEM, car charger for the Razr.
Works great; never worry about battery power, again

incoming call display

Does your incoming call display (when someone calls you) work for your HFL? I have a v3c razor and it doesn't work for me. I am on the Rogers network in toronto, canada. I know for people in the United States it is working.. but for me it isn't.. it is really frustrating.

If you are in the car and your BT is on but you choose to use the phone in your hand, the call will still go through, you just cant hear it ring for some reason. It will just be silent and after a few seconds if they are home you will just hear them answer. Also BT in general drains your batt.

Everything said here is a common issue known to the Razr... another issue you may find is if you are using the phone on a call w/ BT and then you receive another incoming call but ignore it, when the second incoming call that you ignored gets done ringing, the phone will stop relaying the FIRST call through the bluetooth... the call is still active, but you cant hear it in the car. At that point youhave to push the HFL button and say "Connect"

I have a v3 allso, I just keep the car charger for it pluged into the center arm rest plug and run the connector up to the top inside pocket. I just hook it up to the power when i get in the car toss it in the top storage bin in the arm rest and shut the lid. Works great.

Razor battery on Ebay

Search batteries on ebay for the razor. I got a 1900mAh for 29.99 and it last a lot longer. I also got a car and home charger for 6.00 including shipping at ebay. The chargers came with a antenna amplifier that goes inside your razor and I think it helps with reception.
