isimple problems again?!?

I will try to make this as short as possible. Got my isimple installed at Best Buy, figured out how to get it to work and everything was fine. That was a month ago, now for some reason it does not work. When i plug it in its charging, but I cannot get it to play my iphone. Also, now everything in my car is running slow. Some of my steering wheel functions are very delayed or not working at all. The voice on the navi sometimes works and sometimes does not, when i try to switch functions like cd to xm i have to sometimes press it 10 times. Seems like everything is running funny now, also my isimple is not working anymore!!!! Any ideas, has anyone had this happen to them??!!?!?!?!

Try resettting the unit. Unplug it for 10 minutes or so and reconnect and go through the reconnection procedures again.

Thats correct also make sure ur din plug is in the right socket...ie furthest away from the dip switches (which should all be off btw). I had my Isimple done at Best (Worst) Buy... and after having some of the same problems I decided to check the install.. BB did not run the software update, and had the plug in the wrong din connection... I ran the update and relocated the module from behind the radio to the back of the removable panel under glove box with velcro so no rattles. Now I have much easier access for when I connect the HD radio adapter... Good Luck!

It all depends on how comfortable you are with taking apart your car... Check the threads on Isimple installs. You may be able to get to the unit by removing only ur side panels but.... I think theres a sticky on dash dissasembly... As for the update you can go to http://isimplesolutions.com/CES2/home.asp

Again welcome to the forum.... I'm new to but I learned everything I needed from searching and reading mannn my eyes are tired LoL

ISimple update is downloaded from the web site to your computer where it is unzipped. Then you connect the Isimple device to your computer using a usb cable. Run the executable with all dip switches on. Ismple will update. Disconnect the unit flip the dips off and reconnect it to its din cable in your car.... Thats the quick version check the threads for more detail but thats pretty much it in a nut shell... enjoy!
