i just bought the isimple for the Acura TL 05 Non-Navi.
after hours of weird shaped body pos. to install the thing, it nearly breaks my heart to see that when i finish with the install, it is not working properly. It seems that sometimes it works and sometimes it doesnt.
the problem(s) happening is when i do get it to work and i go onto the next track, the display names stays to the first track first played. another problem another time was when i finished plugging it back in there would be no image on the "XM" setting. And the last problem was when scrolling through the menu and music selections it took too long to load the display. the two dashes would come up and i still had yet to choose a song. im not sure if you will get me on this last one.
ive searched around and some people say its the firmware update, but i honestly have no clue how to go about and update it on the peripheral.

it gets me angry to the point that makes me want to rebox it up and return the thing.

I also have an iSimple and gladly paid BestBuy $50 to install it in my 06TL with nav. Some of what you're talking about some normal and some doesn't. After you update media on your iPod/iPhone, the iSimple has to scan it to update it's information for searching track/artist/song/etc. I find that annoying, but it's normal. As for the other stuff, it might be a firmware issue. Go to iSimple's website and they describe the process. You can apparently use a usb cable to do it. I have problems with the display not showing data, just IPOD. I'm just too lazy to take it back into BB to have them do it.
