Why is the new TL rated at 258 HP?

 

I don't know why you are asking this question in the audio forum, but please learn how 270 became 258 in the big TL hp change for 2006 thread.

 

There have been varying time frames for the release, ranging from end of December to well into June of 2006.

I will be picking up my new '06 TL tomorrow so I'll ask my dealer to see if they have any new information.

Did you all realize there's a change holder in the center console?

 

just a funny note for all 2004 and 2005 TL owners, if you sign onto owners link, it now says our TL's are 258hp.

i wonder if we can complain because our cars were rated at 270, and we bought them under the pretence that they were 270, and now they roll it back to 258.

2006 owners hve the new rated HP right in front of them.

2004 and 2005 owners bought 270 thinking 270.

we all know they are the same. but...

would you have looked at other cars if the said it was 258?

i probably would not have. i'm love the car...

but it does make an interesting point doesn't it?
