iPod tape fast forward

While i wait for a real way to connect my ipod with my TL with nav, i'm using a cassete adapter. However, between the songs, when there's a silent moment, the tape deck automatically fasts forward...which makes me miss the start of the next song.

i know why it does this--it would skip the blank parts between songs...but how do i turn this off?

any ideas?

Which cassette adapter are you using? I am using the one made by belkin and I do not have any problems.

It's probably the cassette adapter itself. I use the Sony one and don't have any problems. Sometimes when it's cold out it takes a while for the cassette to warm up and it makes some noise initially. You should check out this product from Griffin...

It's gonna be awesome, once they release it. I'm on the waiting list.

Thanks folks...except for kurbus....i bought the griffin adaptor and it has basically stopped, although it still fast forwards every now and then. i do hoep to get the new griffin thang when it's released, if i don't just bag XM and use that input instead for my iPod.

kurbus, since you haven't been around for a while, maybe you seppukued yourself. not a suggestion or request, just an observation.

It's the only choice for many people. The 3rd gen TL with navi isn't compatible with many solutions out there.
