ipod setup

i have spent a couple days reading around the forum on ipod video setups, as i am interested in doing this to my tl. i am wondering first off how to get DOM's tvandnav2gosystem. I havent been able to find how to order on his site. also if someone could clarify all the parts i would need for a setup for the ipod to charge, play video on the screen and play music. i have noticed that a lot if the installs are being done out west. I'm in MA has anyone installed a system out here that may be able to help with an install, or know of a good shop for the install. Thanks, and i know this topic is relatively redundant, just really confusing reading through 1,000 threads.

I bought the Ipod kit a month ago, opened it and looked at the instructions and it went right back to the dealer and returned it.

I just hate ripping apart the inside of a brand new car.......Use you dvd player, its easier anyway.

I will help you out, oh and Welcome the AZ

I would refer back to this thread on how to install it in my car, also, it pretty much tells you what you need too:
https://acurazine.com/forums/showthread.php?t=139696

As far as getting the Doms unit, I would keep checking out the sponsored sale section and wait till there is a group buy going on. If you buy it without the group buy, you would pay alot more.

I would get the ipod integration used in this thread; even though there might be skipping, I think it is pretty good
https://acurazine.com/forums/showthread.php?t=148231

hope that helps

That forum is here: Sponsored Sales & Group Buys

As for the current group buy thread, it is here: March TVandNaV Conversion special

For what you want to do, focus on the Valor iLink. It is currently the only module that will allow you to show songs and videos on the factory nav screen. There are current issues with it and the latest iPod software so you might want to check out the relevant threads. The thread is currently on the first page, but a search will quickly bring it up as well.

Recommended parts list: Valor iLink, PIE X3 or Blitzsafe HON/AUX DMX, Dom TVandNav2Go

There is a summary of everything here: 3G TL Audio/Electronic FAQ

It's usually better to install everything at once since you need to access the same locations.

That's not to say that you can't pre-route wires for the Dom's unit. The unit will be installed in the trunk, so as long as you route RCA cables and wire extensions (for power and the manual switch) you can install the other parts this weekend.

Then again, the iLink won't display on the navi screen without the TVandNav2Go.

A search with the keyword TVandNav2Go will bring up numerous threads as well as a few howto's. My DIY threads usually contain pictures.
