Question IPOD integration and XM Text

I have a 05 TL with NAV. I want to add a IPOD to my car and a DVD Player. I want to keep my XM radio and I want to be able to see text and videos from my IPOD and be able to switch to watch my DVD player all through the navigation screen. Please give me some advice. I saw the DICE but it cant do everything I want to do so is there something else out there. Not worried about cost.

eh.. i guess

ipod video out --> doms nav/tv2go --> switch to override nav screen --> view ipod stuff
ipod audio out --> some ipod to cd-c interface

so like.. you would change to cd-changer, then flip the doms switch to override the video signal..

I have a feeling you will either have to sacrifice either XM or iPod text display, but TVandNav2GO, DICE iPod module, DVD player should do the trick.

Have you check out 3G TL Audio & Electronics FAQ? Lots of good and useful links in there.

You can't have all of that.....datmrman is correct, you will only be able to have one text display - iPod or XM

you might be able to do this, but you will not be able to control the ipod from the steeringwheel nor the radio. You can use the Valor Ilink in conjuction with dom's unit or the AV electronic's unit. Audio can be routed though the Dice unit ( Recommend the dice so you can switch to IPOD text and NO XM in the future) or USA SPEC which a good solid unit, but no text.

Well.. it is possible, but are you sure you want to do it?

Here is a solution: DICE, TVandNav2Go, DVD player, portable XM/Sirius player, audio switchbox.

Basically you'll disable the factory XM to gain text display for your iPod and then use the portable XM/Sirius player connected via aux-in when you want to listen to satellite radio. It's not an elegant solution and you lose some integration, but it basically has all the features you want.

Good luck with the installer.
