iPod for Fit but not TLs?

Okay, so I just got an ad in my email for the new Honda Fit. The ad has a little blurb in it about a USB ipod compatible interface as follows...

....excellent fuel economy,* an available iPod†– compatible USB Audio Interface** and available satellite-linked navigation.††
**The USB Audio Interface is used for direct connection to and control of some current digital audio players and other USB devices that contain MP3, WMA© or AAC music files. Some USB devices with security software and digital rights-protected files may not work. Please see your dealer for details on compatibility. Windows Media® Audio is a trademark or registered trademark of Microsoft® Corporation in the United States and/or other countries.
††The Honda Satellite-Linked Navigation System is available on Sport models in the United States, except Alaska. See your Honda dealer for details.

So do you think this a interface that might actually work on our TLs?
Why is it that a Honda that's a fraction of the value of our Acuras wouild boast a working interface?
While I'm at it what is the best currently available interface for a 2008 TL?
I am thinking this might be the year that I actually buy a real iPod but I don't want to buy a 09 TL to use it.

As new cars come out they will have options not on the older cars, but I know you know that.

I have a Dice Electronics IPOD intergration kit installed in my 04/TL. I love it.
It is fully intergrated. Once I plug it into the car, I use the cars radio and steering wheel controls to operate the unit. The sound is great even though the signal is analog. The song titles scroll accross the screen. You will swear its digital. I got rid of XM because the IPOD sound it 5 times better. I have a 80gig IPOD classic.

the feature of USB cannot be easily added to the TL, it would require lots of labor for new programming and chips for the radio to be developed. Your best bet is to fork up the money for an IPOD adapter, like the USA-SPEC, DICE, etc. I have the USA-Spec and love it.
