Remote Start Bypass module
Remote Start Bypass module
Instead of having to buy aftermarket alarm with remote start is their anyway I can make my stock remote from my 05 work as a remote starter??????How well would it work?
not likely- the buttons are different, and worse- you cant make most alarm/starter remotes do the same things as the TL remote can- like the windows
AND you have to buy an extra security module- a `chip` that gets mounted in the car so the ignition believes our special key really is in the ignition and allows the start
IMO if you get a remote start and alarm- get one that displays on the remote-a pic if car, and where its being touched~ door hood whatever
Then hit the bright floodlights for the yard and grab the shotgun (ONLY if applicable in your state)
Call 911- `someones stealing my baby`---they dont appreciate that at ALLLLL-
its JUST a CAR theft or vandalism to them!
Imagine!

y on earth would you want to do that? i'm kidding...yes you can...buy an aftermarket remote start alarm...get the appropriate bypass module...i recommendavox bypass kit...i do believe ASXK05...firmware pkh3...most r/s systems have in input wire that you can set to a desired amount of negative pulses to trigger remote start sequence...tag door lock wire...hit lock twice on you OEM key fob....and it will trigger the R/S...just remeber to tag the factory alarm disarm wire..and program the alarm to kick out the appropriate signal to deactivate your alarm
I highly recommend that you purchase a reputable aftermarket R/S system...not only will you not be limited to the range of the OEM keyfob...You'll also have the piece of mind of having two way monitoring available...
hope this answered some of your questions
