Ipod/Dice problem...
Ive got a 80gig ipod classic video running thru a dice in my 05 tl. Everything was fine for a couple months but now ill be listening and the entire left channel (bothfront and back) will die. sometimes is a gradual reduction in volume, sometimes ican here a little crackle fron the left side. well i can switch over to cd or radio and the left channel comes back.
so the first thing i did was call dice and swap out the unit and cord. same problem. so its either the ipod or the factory head unit. im leaning toward the ipod since its just with the xm input that i have the problem.
so my question is has anyone had this problem with your ipod or the head unit in the tl? thx

I don't have the DICE unit, I have the SPEC HONy adapter and it doesn't work worth a damn! It cuts in aand out on me, is very slow to respond and when it does work, is vevery muffled. I think the problem could be with my iPod. The literature on the adapter states that some of the never firmware versions of the ipod could cause porblems... bah!
Mine did the same thing - it is the connector on my ipod. it's old and wearing out. I got the dice cradle and mounted it to a kuda mount so it does not move and I don't have an issues now.
