iPhone 5 pairing issues

I am have much difficulty pairing my iPhone with my 2005 Acura TL with Navi.

iPhone finds the Handsfree link and the Handsfree acknowledges that it found a new phone and ask's for what I want to name it but once I press the talk button to input the name the pairing process goes back to the first step.

What am I doing wrong? The naming of the paired phone is where I am bombing out!!

Thanks in advance for your advice

Vino

Update: The phone support tech suggested I to do a "System clear" and try the whole pairing process again . Tried it but still having the same issue.. Cannot complete the final step "name phone" to complete the pairing process.

Next step..take it to the dealer, huh!

Vino, once the car finds the phone, on the phone-you have to press and highlight it on the phone itself. Then they can pair together.

Try that, if you didn't do that.

Turn the wireless off on the phone, then try pairing. I've had an issue where I needed to turn this off before, and then it worked perfectly. If this works, once you pair it, you can then turn the wireless back on.

Tried to pair with wireless turned off...No luck.

Steve, not sure what you mean by press and highlight on the phone.

Once the handsfree link shows on the phone , I do highlight it to input the passcode then the pair button is enabled . Once I click pair the car acknowledges the phone is found and asks for to name the phone..this is where I am having issues. Once I click the talk button to name the phone it hangs up.

Vino,

My iPhone 5 does the same thing, but it actually does NOT hang up. Just go ahead and talk-the person on the other end is still there!

Were you ever able to get your iPhone 5 paired? I have a 2005 TL and am having this same problem. Tried everything mentioned and gave up after an hour of trying.
