Infinity 6-Channel Amp

Hey all I'm recently new to this site and just bought a 06 TL/navi back in March. Since then I have wanted to upgrade my stereo system. I don't want to loose the surround sound feature of the car and wanted to get some input on the "Infinity 560 Watt 6-Channel Power Amplifier". Also was wondering if I installed this amp in my car would I even need to install different speakers or would the stocks sound improve?

That amp is basically a 4-channel amp with 2 bridgeable channels for a sub. So you'd lose amplification on your center channel speaker. Most amps do not like 2-ohm speakers and our stock speakers are 2-ohms, so you'd have to change them. Lots of us have done major audio upgrades to the car and that included changing all stock speakers as well as adding aftermarket amps and subwoofers. Search around, there are a few threads discussing these upgrades.

thanks for the advice. I think I'm going to go ahead and do a full spearker replacement. I am a huge fan of Infinity Kappa Perfect speakers and will probably use their sub and 6 channel amp as well. Does any one else have other recommendations or comments about using Infinity?
