ideas for non-navi

I was wondering what option(s) are there for ipod / dvd integration for TL's that does not have navi. It seems such a waste of a good space there for a screen but its used for the temperature, xm (which I dont use) and such.

many people do this if they wish to do what you want. They move the factory screen down to the two compartments which flip open right in front of the gearshifter. Then they put in a new screen which has RCA inputs and hook up a dvd player to it. THen they route power wires and switches as needed. As for sound, to integrate an IPOD an an aux source, the USA SPEC HON2Y is a really good option.

yeah sounds like a big job. I didnt expect it to be a simple solution though. So on the non-navi, are the two displays there two different units and can be moved independently?

do yoiu have an 07 or 06- TL? The 07 TL i have not looked at yet but this is for the 04-06 TL. It is one screen, but it would be reloacated and a new screen be put up where the old one was.

then as i said, all you have to do is move the screen to the lower compartments and put in a new touchscreen in the facotry location. Then it owuld be like hooking up a TV with the RCA wires. SOme good touchscreens are the xenarc ones.

i would love to do that. I saw some guy had it done here on the forum and it looks really good but he did that whole computer setup and stuff wich for me is little to much i would just like to buy a aftermarket headunit and put it in place where the stock display is and move those down to those compartments.

what do u guys think is that hard to do or not. I would really love to do it since i dont have navi in right now wich then if i do i would have that and the new unit with a nice preamp
