I found out something cool today...

Hey everyone today i made a little discovery... maybe some of you already know, so if u do, dont hate... lol...

anyway dont u hate it when the title of the songs disappears on the clock info display area right after the song plays on XM. And then you see the channel name and number throughout the song. Well you simply press the "Mode/Disp" button on the right next to the "XM" button and voila', now you can select whether to display channel name, artist name or song title. And then it constantly remains on the clock area.

If u think i helped, gimme some rep points !!!

I'll try it also. I was just wondering 2 days ago if I could get the title of a song back on the screen again.

Thanks for the info - you definitely scored some points with me! I've been wondering for some time how to get the song title to stay rather than the XM channel.

Just went into the garage, got in the car, and tried your approach - worked like a charm.

This forum is great - seems like every week I learn something new about this car I didn't know before......

If you can find a way to get the text to scroll when the complete tile/artist doesn't fit the display, then I'll give rep points

Unfortunately, the text length is a limitation of XM. The XM system only supports up to 16 characters, which is also the max. the TL can display. But who knows, maybe they'll upgrade the XM data format later on to support more text.

Btw, this is an older thread talking about the limited text display. I found it to be kind of funny:
