I have had the PXAMG installed and working for most of Sept.
In the last 2 weeks my setup has degraded to the point that I cannot use XM or my iphone. My displays hang when I hit the Xm button. If I leave it there eventually it will say Xm loading. I also lost the use of the bluetooth hands free setup. Last weekend I upgraded the firmware to the latest version. I tested the setup without the PXAMG installed and confirmed that the cars XM and hands free work fine. After installing the PXAMG it continued to not work correctly.

I am in USA-CA and recently we had a hot spell of > 100f temps. Has anyone had issues with heat damaging the PXAMG?

I will check the connectors 1 more time to ensure I have them seated properly.

Any info would be appreciated.

Forgot to mention that this is a US 07 TL-S

This is off topic, but how did the OP get the on screen audio controls to be red? And where'd the mode tabs (FM1, FM2, AM1, etc.) come from?

I hope this thread is still active . I've a 2006 TL with XM/Nav package and I am planning on adding the PXAMG. Autotoys has a new version of PXAMG which supports iOS 4.

Has anyone installed this recently? I wanted to confirm if this latest unit still fits in the trunk and not behind the dash.

I tested an iSimple PXAMG with the Honda/Acura PGHHD1 harness in the trunk of my 2005 TL yesterday. I first cleared the memory and reprogrammed it with the latest "universal" driver set (on the PAC website) per Playa's instructions. Very simple job. Unfortunately, the best I could get from the device was that it would control my iPhone 3GS (it did complain about it), BUT no sound was available, and I could not access XM. I disconnected it and XM worked fine. So I removed it all and put the trunk back together. Today, I contacted tech support at Peripheral - now PAC Audio. Unfortunately, the tech did not seem to be too interested in support, and all I left with was that the device would only work connected to the radio (rip out the dash) and not in the trunk. He was totally unaware of any of the testing and other info on this site regarding trunk mounting. If anyone has any new information on this, please advise. I really do not want to remove all those dash pieces for this. Thanks!

Guys, I have 06 TL w/Nav and i am looking into this install. I tried to do a lookup on amazon and i ended with several types of PXAMG model? Which version or model is everyone buying?

This is the one you want and it should work with a an 06 TL w/Navi just fine.

As per the iSimple Gateway specifications page:
Honda/3G Acura (PGHHD1 Harness)

iPod text is only supported on radios that are equipped with an XM or Sat button. CD Changer emulation mode does not support iPod text
HD Radio & Bluetooth are only supported in satellite radio emulation mode. Radios that have an "XM" or "SAT" button support satellite radio emulation mode.
Factory navigation radios equipped with a USB input do not support CD Changer emulation mode
Radios equipped with a “CDL” button are not compatible
In vehicles using CD Changer emulation mode, if the vehicle is equipped with an external 6-disc changer, it must be disconnected for the PXAMG to function properly.

Vehicle Specific Honda/Acura Notes:
2008+ Acura TL & MDX equipped with XM Nav-Traffic use the PGHHD2C harness and only support satellite radio emulation mode

So according to this, it looks like you need the pghhd1 (06-08 Honda / Acura harness).

finally got to install my isimple,so far everything works fine i got all the display i get to control the songs through the steering wheel buttons,but i do have a question tho how come it only display the name of the song for a bit on my screen(non navi canadian)then it just return to the regular timer of the song.Is it because the way I input the name of the song in my ipod or am i missing something else here.?

Hi guys, its been quite a while since I worked on my TL.. sorry to be bumping an old thread but I was wondering if anyone can help me out, even though I can probably find it through search.

I have an 07 Tl type S and I finally got an iphone lol.. and I want to install the iphone adapter, I remember from back in the day it was usa-spec honda models from the dealership. what are my options (isimple, usaspec, ebay china versions), where should i install it, hu or trunk at the xm radio? Thanks guys!

I bought one of those ebay china versions on a whim but im thinking its not going to work with the xm text like the isimple or usa spec models.

You have a 3.5 mm jack in the armrest. There's many options for you. If you don't care for the names to show on your radio. You can just get a dock from dice and a iPhone adaptor and convert the RCA outputs to headphone Jacks and you're done. The dock is optional. Bit it makes it really easy to control and dock when you get into and out of the car. Let me know if you need more details. Hope this was helpful

I picked up a usa-spec model pa15-hon2 for my TLs, now that I am reading through the compatibility, it might not be compatible with the live traffic navigation xm. my question is, will this work for me? will it display text? should I install in the HU or in the trunk? I no longer subscribe to xm so that doesnt quite matter. thanks all!
