Got a question for a friend's 05 TL. He has the stock dash which can play DVD movies. Now, I want to know how, in the TL, would you wire TV's, like from the headrest/visors to the dash, so you can use the dash DVD player to play movies onto the screens.

What equipment is necessary?

I am pretty good at electronics and wiring, I just dont have a blueprint or PDF of the vehicle.

Any help/tips is greatly appreciated,

best thing to do is pray to the TL gods for wireless broadcast....and then maybe sacrifice some virgins for good measure. I'll help, if necessary.

sorry to kill your buzz bro but the TL's stock navi system DOES NOT play DVD'S!!!! It will play DVD-A (DVD-AUDIO) discs but that's it.

if you want to watch dvd's on the stock screen you need to purchase a converter that will allow video to be piped through to the navi. costs about $350. you will also need to buy a dvd player.

if you want tv's in the visors or something, you could go without the converter and just wire a dvd player to the visor monitors and you'd be all set, but then you wouldn't be able to see movies on the stock screen.

 

Wierd, becaus eon the dash, it says DVD right there, the DVD logo or w/e.

 

look a little closer at the logo, and you'll see it says DVD Audio

 

Yup....DVD Audio... Unless you got one of those Special Cars...

I heard that those special cars also allow you to pee in the gas tank instead of gas!!
