How to replace bulb in hfl button?

My hang up button still works but does not light up, and I just bought the bulb at the dealer. I searched for a while and couldn't find out how to replace it. I hope that I don't have to take out the air bag as I only need to change the bulb and not remove the button. Anyone know if I remove the back cover I can easily swap it?

I checked out this diagram for help too.

you'll have to remove the airbag dude. it's the only way. those two small screws #21 are under the airbag.

I have the same bulb out on my car. If you car is in warranty get the dealer to do it. I am assuming yours is expired, if so good luck.

Can someone take a look and confirm for me whether the "VSA OFF" button lights up? I just noticed that mine appears to be out and I thought it was supposed to light up. I've been having problems with burned-out bulbs recently (hang-up for HFL; cancel button for Navi; dashboard brightness control; select/reset for MID; and sunroof control are all no longer lighting up), but since my TL is out of warranty (over 4 years and over 50,000 miles) I haven't looked into a fix yet.

thanks jptl you always come through with the fixing up stuff!

rocky:thanks, my car is well out of warranty, but I think I have the courage to pull it off

1995: Yes VSA lights up

This week I've spent about $32 at the stealership for 4 special bulbs! just to note for the climate cool/heat lights has a new part# that super seeded the previous one, acura must have known there is a faulty part
