How long has it been?

How long has it been since you listened to FM radio? Since I got my TL I haven't listened to FM radio. I'm always listening to XM now.

I moved to Columbus from Pittsburgh almost four months ago and I couldn't name one FM station in this town. XM rules!

Except for a little Howard Stern now and then, it is XM all the time for me too.

I haven't used the cassette either and never will. It's a waste.

During baseball season I actually listen to AM, and shuffle back and forth between WFAN and ESPN. When they start talking football I go back to XM.

Hey,that cassette player works and sounds super. Being a semi retired drummer, I've got LOTS of tapes in my collection.

The TL has without a doubt, the best stock, sound system (in a car) on the planet!! Turn it up and enjoy....YA!!

It has an FM radio? Since I bought the car it has been 95% XM and 5% CD. And a little AM when driving though zones that have traffic/construction info at frequencies above 1600kHz.

I've not used the cassette player either. I can see how it would be useful for book on tapes though. Too bad there isn't a AUX input...

Yeah, XM is very nice. When I first heard about it I did not think I would like it very much and thought it was silly to pay the $10 a month, but now I am really considering it.

I am still in my trial period and listen to XM a lot! I tried to switch back to FM but I end up going right back to XM radio. I use XM about 90% and the CD player about 10% of the time and have not used cassettes yet.

Hey acura_driver,

Did you know that XM Channel 221 has traffic and weather for the bay area, so you don't need to switch to AM to get that. I use the Phoenix channel and it is great. Just repeats the current traffic and weather conditions. Also, when you are on the Traffic & Weather channel the current tempeture displays on your dash... not that you need another readout, but cool none the less. But, you may allready know that. Maybe you are mentioning those funny AM road condition signs that post a channel with the weak AM signal eh?

Oh and about the AUX input, I think you can buy a tape adapter to plug in MP3 players though your tape system.

Some sections of freeway (I5 in northern CA comes to mind) have dedicated AM transmitters where they broadcast construction/traffic info, generally in areas where freeway or bridge construction is underway.

I do know about XM221, and have tried it. The traffic covers the whole bay area, so I don't find it that useful. I didn't know about the temperature display though, that is pretty cool. Will give that try later today.

When I do want traffic info I dial 511 with my cell phone. Using voice commands I can get specific info. E.g. "Traffic conditions", "Highway 17 south". That works better, at least for me.

I still have to settle for FM until we get XM service down here. I have no complaints so far. For the most part I listen to CD's anyways. As far as my tape player, it holds pop tarts really well.

I listen to absolutely no FM except for my local NPR affiliate, which I support financially. XM and iPod rock.

This Stero Is Awesome!!!!!

Dude,

I have a braod range for tastes in music, but I never ever hardly listen to classical. I am usually hardcore rap and rock-n-roll, but afte listening to track 18 on the complimentary DVD-A disk I think that I have acquired a new taste.

Play track 18 with the volume set to 20 (car turned off) and I swear you would think that you are at the concert hall. I love my TL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm glad you all have, and are having a great experience with XM. I picked up my car on 7/23 and have not heard more than 2 songs straight thru.

My dealer has now had my car since 8/11 (yes I have a loaner, a nice TSX) and is now "swapping out" equipment from cars on their lot to get mine to work properly.

And I agree with all of you that after listening to XM (on the net), I can't wait to get it working and sign on for service.

As a matter of fact, I called XM and told them of my situation. They are "crediting" me the time I have not had use of the free trial. Imagaie that, a company that will give me "extra" free time....on a free trial. WOW!

Also I have used the tape, and it too sounds awsome.
