How hard is it to install a 2ch amp?
re
i do know about car audio, i installed so many amps and subs in all my cars...my question is regarding the oem speaker amp, id like to know from there how i can add a seperate 2ch amp in my trunk to power up my front component set
Well........
A lot of newer amps have high level inputs, as well as RCA inputs. This gives you the option of using RCAs from an aftermarket deck, or splicing in the amp into a factory setup. The simple way to explain it is you take the speaker wires that are currently running into your front speakers, and run them into the high level inputs on your amp. Then from the amp, you run new speaker wire to your new speakers.
If your amp does not have high level inputs, you will need a high to low converter. (LOC) Then you take your speaker wires that are currently running into your front speakers, and run them to the LOC. Then the LOC will convert those to RCAs to run to your amp. Then from the amp, you run new speaker wire to your new speakers.
